How do you keep your lashes lifted after a lash lift?

Aftercare for a Lash Lift and Tint combo

The great thing about a lash lift and tint is that aftercare is super simple. It is not a long list of things to remember. Frankly this is one of the reasons people love the lash lift! However, there are few important things you need to know.

First 24 hours of Lift and Tint aftercare

During the first 24 hours of a lash lift and tint being applied, the curling lashes are still curing. It is important therefore to refrain from certain activities and exposing yourself to certain environments to ensure the lash lift sets completely.

  • Be as gentle as possible with your new eyelashes.

  • You do not want to get your lashes wet. Keep eyelashes after a lash lift as dry as possible for the first 24 hours. This includes being in hot and steamy environments (eg hot bath or sauna) as the moisture will impact the initial curing process.

  • Do not use any waterproof mascara or oil-based mascara or other makeup on the lashes.

  • Do not use any lash serum, creams, eye makeup removers, lotions, sunscreens or cleansers containing oils on or near eyelashes.

  • Avoid sports and recreation activities that cause you to sweat, and especially those taking place in humid conditions. Examples include but are not limited to swimming, showering, visits to spas and saunas and tanning.

  • Avoid rubbing your eyes or touching your lashes with your hands or fingers.

It's super simple to maintain your lash lift and tint between your four to six weeks visits to Luminaest. Here are a few tips from the professionals:

  • Clean your face and eyes as you would normally.

  • Use a spoolie brush to brush your lashes every day to keep the curl.

  • Continue to avoid rubbing your eyes or touching your lashes too much or too vigorously with your hands or fingers.

  • You can swim if you like but we suggest wearing googles to minimize the exposure to chlorine. This can impact both the lift and the tint.

Almost zero maintenance with a Lash Lift and Tint

Lash lift and tint maintenance is so easy! When done correctly your lashes can look tip-top for four to six weeks. So put the eyelash curler and mascara away for a month and simply enjoy fresh, curled lashes every morning!
